8-day Emeishan Mountain Hiking Tour

  • Day 1 Arrival/Chengdu

    Upon arriving in Chengdu, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

  • Day 2 Chengdu
    Meals: B, L
    Visited: Chengdu Giant Panda Base ,

    In the morning after breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where you will come face to face with China's living treasures, the Giant Panda. You will then be driven to the Sanxindui Museum, home to a stunning collection of artifacts dated over 3,000 years old. You will then take a break at a local Teahouse where you will enjoy tea and performances of traditional Sichuan performance arts.

  • Day 3 Chengdu/Leshan/Emei Mountain
    Meals: B, L
    Visited: Leshan Giant Buddha,

    After you have had breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to Leshan, home to the Leshan Giant Buddha. The stunning 71 meter high Buddha was carved into the side of a mountain overlooking the place where the Dadu and Min Rivers meet. You will then be driven to Emei Mountain.

  • Day 4 Emei Mountain

    Visited: Emei Mountain,

    In the morning, you will be driven to the Nation Dedicating Temple. Built during the 16th Century, this stunning temple is a testament to temple architecture. You will then be driven to the Crouching Tiger Monastery. Hidden in the forest the temple is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place. Located in the temple complex is a very rare 7 meter tall copper pagoda. You will then take a bus to the Wannian Temple. In the temple you will enjoy a fantastic vegetarian lunch cooked by the monks. After lunch you will hike up Emei Mountain1.5 kilometers to Qingyinge Temple, where you will spend the night.

  • Day 5 Emei Mountain
    Meals: B, L

    After breakfast, your guide will meet you and you will continue hiking Emei Mountain. You will pass Heart Watching Hill, Calming House, Elephant Bathing Pool, Zhanglao Terrace, Chu Hall, Huayan Summit, Jiuling Mountain and Zuantian Slope. The mountain is truly stunning. The local flora and fauna only add to the incredible experience.

  • Day 6 Emei Mountain
    Meals: B, L

    In the morning you will continue your hike to the Golden Summit. You will pass Lianwang Slope and Leidong Ground. On Golden Summit you will see the incredible Golden Summit Temple which is located at 3,077 meters above sea level. You will spend the night on the top of the mountain.

  • Day 7 Emei Mountain/Chengdu
    Meals: B, L

    You will wake up early on this day to catch the incredible sunrise. You will then have breakfast in your hotel. After breakfast you will hike back down the mountain where your private car will be waiting. You will then be driven back to Chengdu. When you arrive in Chengdu, you will be driven to your hotel.

  • Day 8 Chengdu/Departure
    Meals: B, L

    On this day you will be free until your local guide meets you and you are driven to the airport for your flight home.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.


Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.


Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.


Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.


Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.


Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
