9-day Yading Daocheng Tour

  • Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu (no meals)

    Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Hotel: Yinhe Dynasty Hotel  (4-star)

  • Day 2 Chengdu (B, L, D)
    Meals: B, L, D
    Visited: Jinli Old Street, Wenshu Temple, Wuhou Memorial Temple,

    In the morning pay a visit to the Jinsha Ruins & Museum. After enjoying your Chengdu local snacks lunch, proceed to visit the Wuhou Temple, the Jinli Old Street and the Wenshu Monastery.  In the monastery, you will be served the delicious vegetarian food for your dinner. After that we transfer to a local teahous to watch the culture show - Sichuan Opera (about 1.5 hours).

  • Day 3 Chengdu/Ya'an/Kangding/Xinduqiao (B, L, D)

    Today, we will drive about 350 km (7.5-8 hrs ) to Xinduqiao via Ya'an and Kangding. Please don't worry about the long journey, it will be not insipid because we drive through the longest tunnel in China - Mt. Erlangshan Tunnel and enjoy the picturesque scenery along the Chengdu Plain, the Dadu River and the Qingyi River. Hotel: Xinduqiao Xiangyun Hotel (3-star)

  • Day 4 Xinduqiao/Daocheng (B, L, D)
    Meals: B, L, D

    Drive 360km ( 8 hrs) to Daocheng via Yajiang and Litang (4014m above sea level) . One the way we will cross 2 high mountian passes at an elevation of over 4000 m, view the Maoya Grassland, across the Rabbit Mountain - the biggest Tibetan Plateau glacier relic, and Haizi Mountain Natural Reserve (4500 m). Arrive in Daocheng and check into the hotle at late afternoon.  Hotel: Daocheng Yungui Hotel  (3-star)

  • Day 5 Daocheng/Riwa Village/Yading Village (B, L, D)
    Meals: B, L, D
    Visited: Daocheng Yading Reserve,

    After breakfast drive 118Km (2hrs) to Yading Natural Reserve. On the way we can enjoy very charming countryside scenery and pay a visit to a Tibetan family in the beautiful Riwa Village (in Shangrila Town). Later ride horse to Chonggu Temple.  Pay a short visit to the Chonggu Temple and then trek up or ride a horse (about 15 minutes) to the Pearl Lake (Drolma-la tso) to view the holy peak Xiannairi. Stay overnight at Yading village.
    Note: Food at Yading Natural Reserve is package food, and accommodation will be dorm bed or camping.

  • Day 6 Yading Natural Reserve/Luorong Pasture/Daocheng (B, L, D)
    Meals: B, L, D

    Watch sunrise at Chonggu Temple in the morning, then ride horse to Luorong Pasture. It is the best location to pilgrim the three holy peaks of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xialuoduojie. Afternoon ride back to Yading Village and drive back to Daochen. Enjoy the famous Rupuchaka hot springs and the local Tibetan dancing &singing show. Hotel: Daocheng Yungui Hotel  (3-star)

  • Day 7 Daocheng/Xinduqiao (B, L, D)
    Meals: B, L, D

    Morning drive back to Xinduqiao via Litang and Yajiang. Hotel: Xinduqiao Xiangyun Hotel (3-star)

  • Day 8 Xinduqiao/Chengdu (B, L)
    Meals: B, L

    Drive back to Chengdu via Kangding and Ya'an. Check into yor hotel and have a good rest. Hotel: Yinhe Dynasty Hotel  (4-star)

  • Day 9 Depart Chengdu (B)
    Meals: B

    Be escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.


Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.


Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.


Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.


Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.


Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
