A seminar in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of China’s accession into Convention on Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of UNESCO was held at the Yuxi Paleontological Fossils World Natural Heritage Site in southwest China’s Yunnan recently,China Tibet News reported.

The seminar was jointly organized by relevant departments of the Ministry of Construction and the representative office of UNESCO in China. More than 300 experts, scholars and heritage site managers from home and abroad were invited to attend the meeting.

As a key outcome of the seminar, Tibet’s Yarlung River National Scenic Area and the Guge Earth Forest National Scenic Area were listed as the preliminary world heritage sites applied by China.
