On November 9th, 10th EU-China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair and 2015 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair is held at New International Convention and Exhibition Center of Chengdu.
 
　　Different from previous fairs, this is a double fair. Representatives from 150 EU enterprises, official departments, institutes and enterprises from 30 countries including America, France, Germany and so on, and representatives from nternational well-known universities, including Tel Aviv University, University of Turku, Tsinghua University and so on gather in Chengdu and and release Chengdu consensus of global innovation and entrepreneurship.
 
    Chengdu’s big goal promotes “massive innovation and entrepreneurship” behind this fair. Chengdu is accelerating its construction of national innovation city and regional innovation and entrepreneurship center with global influence.

　  As an inland city in Western China, how will Chengdu seize the opportunities of “One Belt and One Road” and step onto the international stage of innovation and entrepreneurship? How will Chengdu create an unique road of transformation in the practice driven by innovation and entrepreneurship?

　　"Chengdu is a city for all entrepreneurs.” This is a promise for entrepreneurs. Chengdu has devoted to creating a sound entrepreneurship environment and into a city where people do not want to leave.

　　On February 8th, Chengdu officially launched “Tianfu Entrepreneurship”, formulated Innovation City Construction 2025 Planning and Tianfu Entrepreneurship Action Planning (2015-2025), implemented 6 technology innovation projects, including enterprise capacity enhancement project, industrial upgrading leading project, regional innovation demonstration project, college collaborative innovation project, technology talent development project, and innovation environment optimization project, and released 46 policies covering 7 categories of all the innovation industrial chain.

　　"The new ecology of innovation and entrepreneurship in Chengdu has been further formed and policy supporting system covering technology talent motivation, fostering enterprise innovation capacity, constructing innovation carriers, achievement transference implementation, and combination of technology and finance has been basically built.” Relevant responsible officials from Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology said. Chengdu has also initiated “Elite Gathering in Chengdu” City Innovation Brand Creation Activity. By now, there have been 13 main activities and 60 series activities of “Elite Gathering in Chengdu”. Approximately 300 innovation and investment institutes, over 6,000 entrepreneurship enterprises and teams, over 10,000 youth college students and entrepreneurs have participated.

　　 Consequently, a Chengdu phenomenon of innovation and entrepreneurship has highlighted. There have been an increasingly number of entrepreneurs in Chengdu and excellent entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou back to Chengdu. According to statistics from Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, in the first half year of 2015, a total of 774 achievements have been transferred in Chengdu. About 100 deputy professors or professors have opened technology enterprises with achievements and technologies in the first half year of 2015. About 6,000 market main bodies of scientific researches and technology services have been registered, a year-on-year growth of 48.6%. It is expected that the total number will be amounted to 10,000 within 2015.

　　Chengdu has continuously created “entrepreneurship and dream city” with the progress. Fortune has listed Chengdu as one of Top 10 Entrepreneurship City in China. Ali Research Institute and other institutes have also jointly released report and proposed that Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Chengdu are 6 innovation and entrepreneurship cities as “Chinese Silicon Valley”.

　　On October 21st, Chengdu Moziqiao Innovation and Entrepreneurship Block was officially opened. The first batch of construction carriers about 20,000 square meters have been presented to the world, indicating the new propose of Moziqiao as a traditional computer industrial street is to create into a new landmark for innovation and entrepreneurship in Western China.

　　 On the opening ceremony, First China-Israel Incubator was opened. Mr. Amir Lati, Consul General of Israel in Chengdu, said, “This incubator not only provides support for innovation and entrepreneurship projects in Chengdu but also supplies opportunities for Israel enterprises to explore development space in Western China.”

　  Similarly, Deyuan Town of Pixian also achieves remarkable results in the process of innovation and entrepreneurship.
　　
　　Deyuan Town was oriented as providing large labor-intensive enterprise supporting service. But with the upgrading and transference of labor-intensive enterprises, Deyuan has also stepped into the crossroads of decision. In the beginning of 2015, Pixian began to create Deyuan Town into “Maker Town” and develop with current supporting resources into “Maker Economy”. “By now, Deyuan Town has been constructed an entrepreneurship park covering 240,000 square meters, introduced 12 incubators such as Guanggu Coffee and Chengchuang Space, attracted 226 entrepreneurship teams, and gathered about 4,000 innovation and entrepreneurship talents.” Mr. Wang Xuefeng, Town Chief of Deyuan Town, said. The driving force of innovation and entrepreneurship has been the password of Chengdu to decode industrial upgrading and transference.

　　Since 2015, Chengdu hi-tech industries have achieved rapid development. From January to September, Chengdu has increased 37 technology enterprise incubators with new incubation area of 1.52 million square meters, introduced domestic and foreign well-known 10 incubation institutes, had 39,931 patent applications with a year-on-year growth of 29.5%, and registered 8,353 technical enterprises, 8 enterprises enlisted in second-board market, and 38 enterprises enlisted in third-board market.
