LHASA, Nov.22(China Tibet Online- The shooting of a documentary entitled "A bite of New Year" has been completed and will be put on show on Jan.7, 2016 following the big splash of "A bite of China" focused on Chinese food.

"A Bite of China" began to be shot in March 2011 and aired on Chinese Central Television on May 2013. It took 13 months to finish the shooting. It has won a big popularity in China, and of course, increased more interest in Chinese food home and abroad.

Take the first story of the first episode as an example. It tells a story about a Tibetan girl Zholma and her mother picked mushrooms their hometown - Shangri-La located in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. Fat and tasty mushroom may only be found a kilometer away. After being cooked with yak butter, a simple way of local cooking, it turns brown and sizzles, which makes your mouth water.

As a documentary focused on Chinese food, it has not only shown the food across China, but also the culture of different places of the country.

In 2014, A Bite of China II was released, following the original style with higher artistic level. In the meanwhile, it has made the audience expect more derivative products in the future.
