Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Airlines Enlisted Among Top 20 in Punctuality Ratio

Passengers are always hating flight delay. Yesterday, reporters learned from Global Airlines Punctuality Ratio released by Civil Aviation Data Analysis in March that Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Airlines whose headquarters are located in Chengdu are enlisted among the top 20 airlines with the highest flight punctuality ratio in Asia. They are ranked N0. 16 and No. 19 respectively. While among the Top 10 airlines with the highest flight punctuality ratio in China, Sichuan Airlines rank No. 2.

It has been learned that among the top 20 airlines with the highest flight punctuality ratio in Asia, Japan Airlines has ranked No. 1 with the punctuality ratio of 96.99% followed by Singapore Airlines whose punctuality ratio reaches 96.79%. There are 7 domestic flight airlines enlisted among the first 20 airlines with the highest punctuality ratio and Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Airlines rank No. 16 and No. 19 with the punctuality ratio of 90.34% and 89.20% in March. The report indicates that Air China enjoys the highest flight punctuality ratio of 91.36% in China with the average delay period of 10.66 minutes. Sichuan Airlines, ranking No. 2 in China, has the average delay period of 10.27 minutes, rising 2.54% compared with that of February (Although its delay period is shorter than that of Air China, different flight volumes also result to different ranking).

Global Airlines Punctuality Ratio isclassified by Civil Aviation Data Analysis based on the enormous and timely global flight dynamic data of VariFlight . The report covers not only the rankings of punctuality but also the rankings of the planned flight time and actual flight period for the top 10 busiest flight routes.

While among the top 10 most busiest flight routes in China, their average actual flight time is obviously less than average planned flight time, indicating that airlines have reserved sufficient period when planning flight time to improve passengers’ satisfaction and ensure the punctuality. Certainly, on the other hand, this method also correspondingly reduces the aircraft utilization ratio. If airlines could guarantee higher punctuality and more reasonable planned flight time, their profits could be further enhanced. What is worth mentioning is that Chengdu-Guangzhou Route has been enlisted among the top 10 most busiest flight routes in China in March with the total volume of 1,612 and the average planned period 149 minutes while average actual flight period 118 minutes.
